Curriculum
Elements
Gardening
The Toddler and Preschool Groups have a garden in their outdoor space. Each spring, the children and teachers contribute and create beautiful and educational container/raised bed gardens.
Sport
Children need to develop large motor and small motor skills and cardiovascular endurance. Extensive physical activity is also needed to address a growing problem of obesity in American children.
Art
Kids will love designing and creating puppets and collages, constructing musical instruments and flower bouquets, and painting, gluing, and crafting to their hearts’ content!
Excursions
Excursions form a vital part of a child’s early education. They expose a child to a range of different experiences and enable them to gain a sense of the world in which they find themselves.
Outdoor
Our children benefit from a variety of outdoor play spaces. In addition to our playground, they experience the natural wonders of the forest, the big field, our raised gardens and nature walks.
Math
A preschool math curriculum should be taught using preschool lessons including interactive activities, learning games, printable worksheets, assessments, and reinforcement.
Literacy
A systematic and integrated literacy program promote language development preschool children. The program uses systematic, direct instruction built around a series of weekly books in the classroom.
Want to know more about us?
Curious about how we learn and grow at Little Graduates? Come visit—learning starts here. 🌱
We believe children learn best when they lead the way. Our approach builds on what each child already knows—through play, curiosity, and real-life experiences. Instead of direct instruction, our teachers act as gentle guides, creating a rich, inviting environment full of hands-on opportunities for discovery and growth.
-
Image of the child
Teachers build on what children already know by closely observing their interests, engaging in meaningful one-on-one conversations, and gently inviting them to explore deeper. It’s through this connection and curiosity that true learning unfolds.
-
Positive Discipline
At Little Graduates, we believe discipline should come from guidance, not punishment. We do not allow spanking or any form of corporal punishment—by staff or parents—on school grounds or during school-sponsored events. Instead, we practice positive discipline that helps children understand boundaries with empathy, respect, and gentle redirection.
-
Environment is important
At Little Graduates, we believe the environment plays a silent but powerful role in shaping a child’s development. A thoughtfully prepared space—calm, beautiful, and accessible—encourages independence, focus, and exploration. Everything in our environment is designed with intention, inviting children to touch, try, and learn at their own pace. When the space is respectful and nurturing, children naturally thrive.
